The tree was a canvas
Once plain, pure and green
Till you got all the baubles,
changin’ moods now and then
Till the balance was seen
Then you added some brightness
Every bulb was in place
And anybody could see
A great Christmas tree
Filled with such grace

And you decorated our tree
Created a show
All on your own whim
And you decorated our tree
By hanging’ some bells all over it’s limbs
You decorated our tree

The lights are now twinkling
And the star put on top
It’s all shining now
To the top of the bough
And you just can’t stop
And you brought out the tinsel
Some ribbons and bows
Now we’re able to see
all the things it can be,
As the beauty still grows

And you decorated our tree
Created a show
All on a whim
And you decorated our tree
By hanging’ some bells all over it’s limbs
You decorated our tree
