I’m no prude, I didn’t see anything wrong with it when Britney & Madonna kissed on stage, but seriously, WTF is wrong with these people!

Which is kind of why I like Taylor Swift. She reminds me of a lot of 80’s music.
Catchy beat, singable lyrics, and no real deep meaning beyond the actual words in the song.

And this is why I think there should be a method of tracking your children’s texts without them knowing, at the very least, until they’re paying for their bill themselves. This is insane. You can even see from the transcript that this boy was insecure and looking for someone to tell him it wasn’t as bad as it was. Apparently, this is what can happen when someone does the opposite.
But holy hell, how does a girl end up like that? I know teens are crazy stupid and do cruel things, but this takes the cake. Thing is, I’m not entirely sure how the law will hold her down. She suggested that he do it, but it doesn’t make her a murderer. Worst I can think of is maybe on cyberbullying or something of the like?

“All life matters.” Nice statement, but utterly meaningless if not put into context. This girl’s life mattered but the manner in which she employed her life leading to the person’s suicide - should have very direct and appropriate consequences. All life matters and All actions matter. Her evil, anti-social criminal actions removed her life ‘mattering’ equal to value of a law-abiding individual. All life matters must be viewed through the prism of one’s ACTIONS. And then one’s life might matter ‘more’ or ‘less’ or not all all. Otherwise this viewpoint - without examination - is the viewpoint of an extremely shallow-end-of-the-pool thinker.[/quote]

I haven’t done nearly as much as I’d intended, mostly owing to lack of time and money (more time than money). Interestingly, it inadvertently led me into volunteering with the county emergency management, which has sort of turned into my actual new hobby.

Today I discovered exactly how great Her Majesty’s Department of Transport really is at maths.
In preparing to take your HGV Driving Theory Test, you can complete several mini tests that aren’t as strictly regulated as the actual mock exams (and obviously nowhere near as strict as the actual isolation booth in which you take your final exam). The mini tests consist of ten questions. The pass mark is 85%.
Because maybe you can get half a question right? Maybe? Nope. And if you answer 8 questions out of 10 correctly, you see “PASS” when you complete the mini test, but “FAIL” when you get to the summary screen. Obviously 8/10 can’t be a pass if you need 85%, so how on earth does it throw up the pass screen? I just… my head hurts!
