Interesting take on the letter.

This mess is another indicator that the personal power of the President and the Cabinet has exceeded the design parameters. Two men, operating off the cuff, have put the world’s strongest nation in an untenable position and cost us political and moral capital.

On another note, what the hell happened to Kerry? And can we bring up all the crap people were making fun of Romney for now and see what’s actually happened?

I don’t have anything germane to contribute, but I definitely dig the forum software’s automatic excerpting of links like that (the feature is called “oneboxing”).
