It’s almost that time of year again. So what were your resolutions last year, how did you do, and what are your resolutions for next year?
Last year, my resolutions were:
Make more friends - real ones - and expand my social circles. (Did not do so well at this)
Publish at least three books. (Published one)
Stay out of relationships. (Successful, but not by choice and not without some heartache along the way)
This year:
Work harder at resolving some long-term issues.
Publish the two books that I didn’t publish last year.
Wear my earplugs more often.

I don’t make resolutions; I designate priority targets.

I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. If a change is important, do it when it makes sense to do it. Don’t wait until an arbitrary point in space/time to alter your life.
I think of them as formal declarations of what I am working on anyway.
On the other hand, New Year’s is a time when one can take stock of one’s self and see that some things need to be addessed.

Going camping at least twice in 2015.
Starting ethnic food night once a month at home, Brazilian and Russian are on deck first.
Clean out new garage.
Very cool, sounds do-able and rewarding.

If we’re doing it that way my resolution is 3840x1080.
Only at work though. Just have the one monitor at home.
Just to keep on losing weight… I’ve lost 40lbs since starting my weight loss in May 2013.

Keep working on healthy habits, and teach the kids healthy decisions. And when an opportunity for free time comes around, to pick the active choice. This last one in the hardest…

I have two at home on my primary, but two sets of three at work. Bwa ha ha.
My desk at home isn’t big enough.
I have two monitors at home, but no computer, or desk.
I don’t do resolutions as I break enough promises to myself in any given year. This year I am just going to keep to my publishing schedule and therefore avoid any ass chewings from my editor.
