Observations **

The formatting options are missing a few bits you’d normally see. For example, unless you have used quite a few forums before and know the commands, then you wouldn’t know that you can [size=18]change[/size] [size=15]the[/size] [size=12]font[/size] [size=9]size[/size].

Apparently it supports BBCode - if anybody wants it, a full list of BBCode format codes can be found [url=http://www.guildzilla.com/support/bbcode.html]here[\url]

Interesting - it doesn’t seem to like the BBCode URL format this is the list I tried to link before.

Oooh. It looks like you can get away with very short responses if you add an emoji with a long code…

It looks like moving a reply to a different topic doesn’t move the original topic up in the Latest view. I just moved a reply to the Database and SQL Questions thread, but it doesn’t seem to show up as a new reply.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been noticing my “Unread Topic” count has been wonky.

I usually navigate to this website by relaunching the “http://forum.chroniclesofgeorge.com/discussions/unread” entry in my browser’s (Chrome) history and then holding the CTRL button down while I left click all the unread topics. This opens up each one in a separate tab which I read to the bottom of, and then close it when I’m done and move on to the next tab.

Quite often, when I’m done reading all the “Unread Topics”, I’ll notice more which are marked unread. Thinking they might be new entries which had appeared since I started reading them, I’ll click on them again and discover I’ve already read them?

Today, I caught this interesting visual:

How can I have 3 unread topics while simultaneously having no unread topics?

There are still a number of bugs around correct state tracking on unread stuff—it’s in constant flux.

One thing you can try if the unread count isn’t quite syncing with reality is to click the new tab, then click back on unread. That might force it to un-break itself.

I’ve realized this some time ago, but perhaps I’m in a peculiar mood this morning that it bugged me. When I click to reply to another specific post, after posting my reply, it doesn’t have the little indicator at the top left of it to say who I was specifically replying to in the discussion. Is there a way to change that?

Are you clicking on the reply button at the bottom of the thread, or the reply box/area at the bottom of the individual message? So far, I haven’t noticed not getting the reply to identifier.
Edit: OHO! When I look at an old post where I replied to Nabiki, it has the reply to flag. But on this one, I don’t see the flag, just as P57 is describing.

Clicking the reply at the bottom right of their post. When typing this in, I see that it says I’m replying to your post (#118). I’ll click reply again to post and it won’t have the box at the upper left of my post saying I’m replying to you.

EDIT: Confirmed, it’s not there. It’s not all in my head.

The reply indicator should only appear when you’re replying to a post that’s NOT the post immediately above yours.

Like this!

There is a setting to force the reply indicator to ALWAYS appear, but I turned it off.

Ahhh, I see. Thanks for the clarification!
Also, I liked the article/videos on the screen protector. Looked like fun, wish I was there

Thanks, it’s another one of those random images I ran across while mindlessly surfing the internet.

It could also be a Goliath from Starcraft.

“Goliath online”.

“Go ahead, Tac-Com”.

I think it’s ED209

Yup… “Psycho Inside” [cue intel jingle music]
