59 people on a FlyDubai flight. The plane crashed in Russia.

Harley, the one-eyed chihuahua that has been the spokes-dog and mascot for puppy mill awareness, died today. He turned 15 on March 18th - not bad for a dog that was on his way to being destroyed by the breeder.

He was named American Humane Association’s 2015 “American Hero Dog” last fall. He accompanied National Mill Dog Rescue on several of their cross-country rescue trips.

There is another warrior in Valhalla tonight.

Thanks @Brazil, but don’t feel bad, they’re just not my cup of tea.
I was curious, so I did a quickie Google search. I found a site that listed what someone thought were the ten best Emerson, Lake & Palmer songs. (performances? 20+ minutes seems like a bit too long to simply call songs) Really, it was a top nine list, because Peter Gunn theme doesn’t count - good stuff, but a cover shouldn’t be included in a top ten list. I recognized only one of the remaining nine and it was one of the songs that triggers my change-the-radio-station-NOW reflex. I think maybe their music is better appreciated by someone who has had more exposure to marijuana… which I haven’t.

ELO was a large influence on music, experimental bands are like that, while you may not like their music, it’s very likely you like someone they influenced.

I like ELO.I just don’t listen to them much, except when I do, then I overload. I’m the same way with Mountain.

ELO or ELP? They are two different entities & the talk has been of ELP

Funny, I meant Emerson Lake and Palmer.

Though I like ELO too, so I have gotten confused a couple times while talking about this.

ELO was fun. I also loved it when they suspended a disco ball from a balloon for an outdoors concert - the county they were performing in was deluged with UFO sightings.

True, they probably did influence a lot of what came later. And although I don’t care for them, I totally understand that others do.

On the other hand, I really enjoy some of ELO’s stuff!

Looks like an apparent road rage incident.

The English language.

From this article:

a campervan had hit a cattle in the dark

and

The fire service found three cattle on the road

I weep also.

That poor campervan.
