Wow, the CompUSA stores around here were not nearly that big. Most were about the size of an Office Depot.
Same. The CompUSA near me became Best Buy. Our Fry’s is much bigger.
Perhaps the Tempe Fry’s was a smaller location.
She helped the Friends be there for us, gave Daniel LaRusso musical advice how to be the best around and nothin’s ever gonna get you down, learned how singing nonsense like “ba-dee-ya” in September doesn’t get in the way of a great groove, and helped us feel the importance of the color purple.

Lee Mendelson, producer for over 50 Charlie Brown TV specials passed away on Christmas, age 86. He also worked on Garfield projects.
I didn’t put up any Christmas decorations this time, but I bought a replica of the tree from A Charlie Brown Christmas last year.
Chuck Peddle, creator of the venerable MOS 6502 processor that powered such 70s and 80s greats as the original Apple series (I, ][, and ///), Commodore PET, VIC-20 and C64 (and lots of Commodore peripherals), plus the Nintendo NES, Atari 2600, BBC Micro and probably more.
Our one doggo, Ruben, age 7 or 8. Cause of death unknown. We wanted to take him to the vet, but he died before we could. Will miss him for sure.
My condolences to you and your family, @Ook.
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s hard to lose a furry family member, especially when you don’t know why.
Oh, geez, sorry @Ook. That’s so hard.
I’m sorry you lost your doggo.
Thanks @ all. We do miss him.
Neil Peart of Rush
I just read about this on FB. I’m crushed. Rush is my favorite band and Neil is my favorite drummer. I’m blessed to have seen them live nine times, but this still makes me sad.
Rush was my first favorite band. The very first album I bought with money I earned was Permanent Waves.
Christopher Tolkien, who edited and published some of his father JRR’s unfinished works. Age 95.
Das Wabbit pipped me to the post. Wascally Wabbit!
My poor little Charlie, aged 14 or older. His little kidneys just could not keep up.
Ugh, shit. Sorry.
I handle pets dying worse than people.
