Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen.

  • Your backup script runs daily
  • On Saturday, it runs a full backup
  • Every other day, it runs a differential backup
  • On the first day of the month, it runs a separate full backup after completing the day’s backup to be kept longer-term for “beginning of month” purposes.

So guess what happens when the 1st falls on a Saturday.
