These are the trans and lesbian ones. And that’s a Pathfinder 2nd Edition character sheet underneath. Elf sorceress with an affinity for fire spells. Face-meltingly chaotic good. We’ve got a wizard in the party as well, also an elf) and our styles couldn’t be more different.
Nym (wizard): I cast Warped Terrain so it’s harder for them to get into melee range.
Alanna (sorceress, me): Whatevs. I cast Burning Hands. They can’t get into melee range if they’re dead.
Make sure you add in some control spells here and there yourself. 1st edition was notorious for having pure blasters fall way behind the power curve from Swiss Army knife mages. 2nd edition doesn’t look like it changes that too much, but I haven’t actually played it, we’re trying to finish Rise of the Runelords before we change, and in that the only advantage the Sorcerereseress has over the Mage is number of spells per day. Her direct damage spells are often brushed off, but her feather fall times 9 million and fly spells are always in style.
I’ll look at diversifying once I get higher level. A cool feature of the sorcerer class in 2E is signature spells. You don’t have to learn the heightened version separately. You can heighten them at will. You get one signature spell per spell level. Right now I’m heightening Burning Hands but once I hit level 5 it will be Magic Missile. If you cast it as a 3rd level spell you shoot two missiles per action you spend rather than one. My signature second level spell is Flaming Sphere. Which is kind of pointless since I can’t heighten it yet but whatevs.
…I do happen to have a Fantasy Grounds Ultimate license, however I haven’t played Pathfinder in years and don’t own any of the 2E books…I wonder if I “hosted” if I could pass GM permissions on to someone else.
I have multiple lip colors that have received that comment. I think a lot of y’all cis women can get away with more lip colors than you give yourselves credit for.
Off-topic question I’ve long wondered about, but never asked:
Is your handle a reference to Ethernet switch technology, or the 1978 film starring Robert Shaw and Harrison Ford?
