I think i would like to do animation, but I don’t have any experience with it.
I was hoping for some information such as what programs are good(Cheap hopefully), where can i go (hopefully free and online), and lastly any advice?
Youtube.
It’s how I do my initial dive in research in any potential skill. It’s easier than trying to read a website or book with a bunch of terms I don’t know. And it sometimes shows parts of it that I just don’t want to mess with, or something about the oprocess that I just have to learn it.
There’s not much on it right now, but I took over a wiki because the guy who created it decided he’d start spinning lies about people harassing him and attempting to sell the wiki. So, I decided to turn it into a kind of animation resource wiki since it was already called the Animedia Wiki.
It’s going to have books on artwork and technique, but if you find info on animation software, feel free to add it.
A friend of mine works for $ToyCompany as an illustrator/animator, and teaches at a local college. He could probably give you better advice than I could. He uses a lot of high-end software, but has pointed me at a few cheaper tools. Toon Boom has some cheaper software if you’re thinking of 2D animation.
