He wants to clear the GOP slate before he goes after the Dems. And I think he’s wishing really hard that he gets someone easier to beat than Clinton.
I really can’t see how you can get someone easier to beat than person who’s closet is actually made of skeletons.
If Trump clears the field I’m going to stop voting because racism or something.
I agree with you after reading only the first paragraph.
So because the system is flawed this person is just going to give up? Because that will really show them. /facepalm
Putting the dots together on this one. Apparently the brothers fought a year ago over the company. The older had supplied seed money to get the company going and the younger wanted to run his company his way now. The new agreement between the two limited CEO compensation for the younger and moved the older out of management for shares.
So, my thinking is younger wants to screw older. He can’t make more money, and eliminate any profit older may take from share sales or company profit. So let’s raise everyone’s pay! Look like a hero, and screw your older brother at the same time! Suck the profit out of the company so the shares aren’t worth squat, wait out big brother, when everything dies down count on turnover and time passed to take care of wage issue. 70k was only for people currently working right? New people start at $24k. Or if not that then edge up his personal compensation to suck up additional profit until older brother gives up, or vengeance is taken.
More derp.
Don’t know enough about web design, but it seems to me that if you can put up and keep up a alternate page that after a couple days you should be back up and running at worst. Other people are saying that setting up a shell like this to get through a hack is normal. I don’t know enough about this to know that.
This along with preemptively restraining the organization from releasing something taped in May, as if that isn’t a giant oh shit we fucked up flag.
If you aren’t guilty stop jumping around acting like your pants are on fire. So far I’ve seen a lot of shit that makes me feel icky, a lot of callous people (Somewhat expected) and what I think are issues about changing procedures based on organ needs. I don’t think they are selling organs, but from what I’ve heard there are 9 more videos.
A lot of people say Reagan couldn’t be elected as a Republican today, I don’t agree but I read something about the Catholic/Commie Fighting/Tax Lowering Kennedy, and I can’t imagine him being elected by the Democrats today.
The two of them have more in common with each other than they do with Bush or Obama. And Bush and Obama had more in common with each other.
Who the hell thought destroying a historic mustang herd was a good idea?
Seriously? “Horses have wandered onto the highway and created a safety issue”? Do we shoot children so they won’t wander into the street?
San Francisco Animal Care and Control are having a ball with this election. They have a series going right now, #TrumpYourPup - adoptable animals with a weird clump of fake blonde hair on top of their heads.
The bunny rabbit was hilarious, in so many ways.
Can we get any more ridiculously, heinously incompetent?
(oh, crap. I just taunted Murphy, didn’t I?)
The Environmental Protection Agency confirmed it triggered the spill while using heavy machinery to investigate pollutants at the Gold King Mine, north of Silverton
They were investigating a 100+ year old mine, and managed to spill the waste water that had been there for decades.
Derpaderp. I’m sure their IG will slap them on the wrists for something they’d destroy a company for doing.
Okay, Huckabee wants to make a fertilized ova a person.
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/08/mike-huckabees-bizarre-fetal-personhood-proposal-would-criminalize-miscarriages/
But it seems that Indiana already has.
I’m going to paraphrase a meme going around:
“I’ll believe an ova is a person when Texas executes one.”
Give birth and throw the baby in the dumpster, people are going to be shitty.
“For these women, the additional fear of arrest may altogether prevent them from seeking critical and necessary physical or mental health care during their pregnancy,” said Miriam Yeung, Executive Director of National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum.
Considering how easy it is to get counseling, prenatal care, and even abortions I think they need to look at that again.
And the headline is incorrect. She got six years for feticide. This has test case written all over it. Seems to me you get her on one or the other, either she neglected a dependent, or she killed a fetus.
She received a 30-year-sentence on the felony neglect charge, 10 of which were suspended. A six-year sentence for feticide will be served concurrently.
Without the charge of feticide, she would still be in for 20 years. A sentence that I think is insane. There are people who commit cold blooded murders that don’t get that much time.
But considering Obamacare, Indiana’s Healthy Baby initiatives, and even Planned Parenthood, I don’t know how you don’t get help before 25 weeks.
Iyer says that the fact that the only two women charged with infanticide are Asian American is important to note because women of color often lack access to basic health care, counseling, and other reproductive health resources.
This is such a line of shit. 8 women’s care centers, 2 pregnancy care centers, 2 planned parenthoods, plus the regular doctors and clinics, and hospitals. On one simple google search.
To top it all off, she’s 33. That’s old enough to know operate as a full human being and know your right from your wrong. She was employed, so she may even have had insurance to cover all of this. The fact that she’s “a woman of color” hasn’t got anything to do with it except for her cultural background. And if your cultural background says it’s ok to ignore being pregnant and hope it all just goes away then you need to integrate a bit more.
While I disagree with the time, I don’t disagree with the charge of neglect. Exactly what kind of women is this going to scare? Other women who were going to have their babies in a ditch somewhere and bury them in a plastic bag? Good. They should be scared to do something like that.
Fork over the $400 and abort the baby, or take care of it and have it. Don’t just hope it goes away.
But Huckabee can suck a big fat one anyway.
Wait. What? The kid crashes his car into the showroom, gets out and goes through the showroom. The police get there, he gets aggressive, they shoot.
And the coach, his teammates, the college, all are “heartbroken”?
How about “We’re pissed that he dragged the name of the college down like that, and that he did something so monumentally stupid”?
Michigan: the new Texas
Sounds like a legitimate application of the Second Amendment to me.
So yeah, this is pretty horrible to contemplate:
- Welfare cliffs are significant and can trap families. A single mom has the most resources available to her family when she works full time at a wage of $8.25 to $12 an hour. Disturbingly, taking a pay increase to $18 an hour can leave her with about one-third fewer total resources (net income and government benefits). In order to make work “pay” again, she would need an hourly wage of $38 to mitigate the impact of lost benefits and higher taxes.
- The system is inequitable. A minimum wage increase to $10 an hour would push a household where both parents work for minimum wage over the welfare cliff. They would suffer a net loss in household resources of about $9,000 as reduced government benefits more than cancel out the higher wages.
I wonder if there are many equivalent studies in other states. Whatever you think about higher minimum wage laws, this is an angle that ought to be examined seriously before implementing them. Unfortunately, Washington (state) will likely inflict something like this on itself via initiative process, so there won’t be anything serious about it.

Yeah, pretty much.
Government benefits are evil. Minimum wage increases are evil. Higher taxes on the wealthy are evil. Therefore, poor people are evil.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Yes because someone with no job should have more disposable income than a two person earner household with entry level jobs.
Which is why people in Seattle are asking for fewer hours after getting raises. They are getting less in cash than the benefits they can’t get anymore.
Seriously? You don’t see this as a disincentive to improve your life past a certain point? I have friends that have worked their earnings to a point where they can send their kids to college free, where my daughters have to pay their way through. And while the father doesn’t make even as much money as I do, the mother makes three times mine and my wife’s salary combined. He got custody so they could work it this way. In theory, not cheating like that is costing my household 20k a year. I could quit my job, and we’d be better off in a lot of ways. And that’s stupid.
Yes, I think the way this is structured is a disincentive. It punishes people for trying to get out of the hole, but I think it was designed to do this from the start.
A better way to do that is to encourage independence by scaling it up consistently. This would also compensate for some employers letting workers go before the employee becomes eligible for fringe benefits.
