I found a CD of anime videos, and on there is a video that Iâve been trying to find for years. Itâs done to Gordon Lightfootâs Pony Man with images from Tonari Totoro.
Now I can massage the output to produce both an html and a csv file.
The csv file will be imported into a database for us to run through a program and get visual warnings of issues that may affect our SLA and other critical stuff.
Html will be just for show until the DB part is workening.
I repaired the radiator in my old house, ready to rent out now. I also repaired a set of yellow flashing lights; my friendâs funeral will include a motorbike procession and legally they need someone with yellow lights at the head and tail.
Well, mostly repaired. For whatever reason H1 halogen bulbs are like hensâ teeth!
Had a client call and cuss out the staff and then the regional director because we screwed up his dog and didnât fix it and didnât know what we were doing. Director hung up after the third time being cussed at, then emailed him to let him know that the hospital owner would call him. He then emailed back that we robbed him and he is a young man who just bought a house and we are stupid asf and he has contacted his legal representative and he has his documents donât worry hoe.
I donât know why this amused me so much, maybe because itâs almost beat for beat a sketch from Black Books; Bernard is asked by his accountant to explain his revenue receipts, and they confirm that the small stacks of coffee-stained post-its are organised thus: âSo it goes this week, very recent, all other times.â
I recently ordered some prints of my photos for the walls. The prints are really big - two at 100x75cm (40x30in) and one at 50x150cm (20x60in). I was pretty nervous because they werenât cheap.
They arrived today and I am absolutely rapt. They are actually better than I hoped they would be.
One of them is just stunning, and the family reckon I could easily sell it.
The other two are really really good.
Weâre at that awkward part of the year where when itâs clear enough to see the stars itâs too cold to be out, but the only times itâs warm then the clouds flock in.
Wish I could get a teraport portal to work then teraport instantly to all the lovely and lonely places, do a couple of night shots, then teraport back.
As was pointed out by one of our local meteorologists, staying on Daylight Saving Time would mean 8:40 AM sunrises in late December here.
That would kind of suck, but then again all Iâm doing then is coming home from the gym and logging onto work. And if that means more daylight later in the day, Iâll take it.
The most important part for me is that we pick a single standard and just stay with it all year. Changing the clocks twice a year is painful (and donât even get me started on the time I took the redeye home from the west coast on a Friday night, then went through the DST change on Saturday night. I was disoriented for 2 days).
