Robert Loggia at age 85. I was thinking he had been in a movie that was featured on MST3K, but it was just a cameo segment.

Jerry David Manning, 75

To be honest, he probably didn’t want to live any longer anyway.

Nicholas Smith, 81

You may recognize the name of his famous character, Mr. Rumbold. His passing is truly a tragedy.

Harry Morgan - AKA Coloner Potter from MASH

My first thought was “I didn’t know he was still alive!”

Article is 4 years old

Yeah, Harry Morgan is the latest in the weird trend of celebrity death notices returning years after they’re current.

Kind of like the ancient SNL bit of the news opening, “Tonight’s top story: Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.”

Lyndon Johnson, franchise owner of several Church’s Chicken, 55

No work on the cause of death. He recently got into trouble for not paying taxes and 15 of his restaurants were closed.

Jimmy Carter’s grandson, Jeremy Carter. He was 28. I haven’t seen any reports on what the problem was, but it seems he died in his sleep.

Carter seems to get the cancer licked, and this happens.

He used the younger genetic material to refresh his and they miscalculated the amount they could take.

Robert Spitzer, 83

He helped change the way that mental illness was defined and diagnosed.

Meadowlark Lemon passed on December 27, 2015, aged 83. I hope he had himself one last good trick shot…

Well shit.

Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister from the heavy metal band Motorhead. He was 70.

My husbands grandmother passed away last Tuesday. The funeral was today, and we booked it back from visiting my family over Christmas, in order to beat the snowstorm. She was 87 years old, mother to 12 children, and lived a good life.

Sorry for you loss. There are worse things to leave behind than memories of a good, long life.

Thank you Nabiki. I wasn’t as close to her as some there, but I have good memories to remember her by. She was a natural introvert, so we both spent time on the edges of the crowds observing. Her passing as also helped heal some rifts in the family, so some good comes out of tragedy.

My roommate’s cat, Pesto. He may not have been my cat, but I’ve known him since he was a kitten. I went with him for his final vet visit. He was 18 or 19.

San Francisco writer Justin Chin

He was a funny and sweet guy.
