RIP Thread

I did as well and now I’m sad. :frowning:

Hell, I wanted to be Grizzly Adams.

And it actually did a pretty good job at portraying Native Americans positively without totally Disney-ing it.

After Grizzly Adams ended production, Ben the bear retired to the Olympic Game Farm, which is not that far from where the series was filmed. Last time I was there, it was late in the day and I had to go through the tour a little quicker than I wanted to. So I didn’t get a chance to ask about him. He probably passed away a while ago.

Bozo the Bear, the female bear that played ‘Ben’ on Grizzly Adams, died in 1999 at the age of 39. Which is pretty old by bear standards.

I’m not sure if this is a joke or not.

I’m pretty sure it is:

“Lemmy Kilmister will be dearly missed by everyone at Jack Daniels. He was a loyal customer, but most people didn’t know that he accounted for 43% of our total sales. When he passed away, there was a massive demand for us to change our name — and our only options were to either go out of business, or dedicate our drink to Lemmy and hope to increase sales.”

I just saw that, too. They’re dropping like flies, eh?

It’s getting to the point where I wonder how long before all musicians contemporary to me will be gone.

Some of them will make it longer than you. But it’s a common issue when musicians have a shorter than average life and they don’t produce until late teens at earliest. A lot of the artists I grew up listening to were already in their 30’s and 40’s when I heard them when I was a kid.

My friend Jessie, in a car accident yesterday. This has not been a good start to the year. We hadn’t been super close lately, but I was looking forward to seeing her on Friday. My only hope is that she didn’t suffer for too long.

I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words for something so awful and sudden…

My condolences. There is nothing like losing a friendship that had drifted apart, even as you try to reconnect.

I’m sorry for your loss, Chessintra. :frowning:

It’s a bit crass, I know. However, this page has been waiting for this update since it was created.
