Airsoft guns and CGI are used a ton, it doesn’t look horrible, but often you notice the shots all look the same. He’s been an actor with a gun enough that he should have known better. My kids know better to point any gun at a person and pull the trigger.
The Memes on this incident are off the hook. Baldwin has years of statements about guns that are all coming back to haunt him now. Comments about accidental shootings, responsibility around firearms, all kinds of stuff.

I found the article again. There’s a faux weapon / “host unit” as the manufacturer calls it that is named the Violette. It combines propane and oxygen to create a flash, bang and physical recoil.
It isn’t perfect. It sometimes misfires. But it gives a gun firing-like appearance and reaction that can be used in some situations.
Stephen Sondheim at age 91. He passed away suddenly on Friday after celebrating with dinner and friends on Thanksgiving.
