Bummer. She should have made it to 100. :frowning:

NFL coach Dan Reeves, 77

January 17 is White’s birthday and the release date of the documentary Betty White: 100 Years Young - A Birthday Celebration or just Betty White: A Celebration. It’s 100 minutes long and will be in theaters on the 17th, initially scheduled for 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. (I didn’t think anything of those two times until I put them together. 1 and 7 on the 17th.) About ten days ago, 4 p.m. was added.

It’s a special showing by Fathom Events. Theater info and tickets are on their site.

Yet another HS classmate. Not a friend really, but still. We are way too young for this.

Did not see that one coming

Sidney Poitier, 94.

There have been a few recently like Yvette Mimieux that passed away at a late age. 80 in her case.

French actor Gaspard Ulliel died Tuesday at age 37 after colliding with another skier. He was unconscious when the emergency team arrived. He was pronounced dead this afternoon at the hospital.

Some of his roles:

  • Hannibal Lecter from Hannibal Rising
  • Fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent
  • Anton Mogart/Midnight Man in the upcoming Marvel TV show Moon Knight

I woke up this morning and saw nested tweets of ā€œhis name was Robert Paulsonā€ and figured something had happened.

The down side to growing older, all the people you grew up with die. Heck, I listened to my parent’s music and watched old movies, I’ve been watching the people I grew up with die it seems like my whole life.

Looks like he was still performing and went quick, so there’s that.

I’ve been playing his music all morning in the background while I work. :sleepy:

Louie Anderson departed today at 68

Louis G Nanasi, age 65. Better known as Peter Robbins, he was the original voice of Charlie Brown for four years.

Albert, age unknown. I didn’t even want this dog. :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

Kidney disease and cancer suck. Also, I hate people who let him get this way without any care. I was fighting a losing battle from the start.

Condolences my dear friend :frowning:

My condolences. You have a heart of gold and have a job I don’t think I could emotionally handle myself.

One of my best friends since senior school, Chris, army veteran and proud father of twins, dead at 32. I don’t think my brain has even processed it yet, I keep thinking I can hear his bike at the other end of the valley.
