Hah. Wow…

Some of the pictures have slideable dividers, so you can see before/ after.

The Guardian reports that the National Park Service has made it official: if you’re about to be attacked by a bear, don’t run and don’t push over a slow friend to act as a sacrifice as you escape.

Reading about weird-but-interesting glitches in the new version of Microsoft Flight Simulator has been extremely amusing.

A particular favorite is a bridge where the side has trucks painted on it.

There’s also an interesting thing going on here in that if you buy it via Steam the initial download is only about 500 megs… But then it downloads something like 150 gigabytes of data in-engine, which counts as ā€˜play time’ for rebates from Steam and such. (Valve has said they won’t count this time for anyone asking for a rebate… But it still shows.)

If I remember correctly the voice of GlaDOS is a trained opera singer, which explains why Portal 2 has built-in surreal musical numbers. I’ll need to watch this one when I can.

I have played Portal, and that was hilarious

Just watched it and I agree it’s pretty good.

Portal 2 is ancient now, but totally worth playing. It’s more a ā€˜puzzle that uses FPS conventions’ than a traditional FPS.

My 70s/80s-styled Aperture Science shirt has been in hot rotation since I’m working from home heavily as of late.

Wow that scratches all of the itches for me, thank you. I need to replay those games again.

If you’re in the mood for a bit of 80s and 90s nostalgia greatness, check out Poolside FM.

I’ve never played any of the Portal games, and have only the vaguest idea what it’s about. However, that is one very cool (and slightly disturbing) video.

Except that damned song has ear-wormed me and I can’t get it out of my head…

When I (as The Button Brigade) branched out into ID badges, this is one of the first ones I created:

It’s one of our best sellers. I’ve always wanted to do an Aperture Laboratories Test Subject costume for conventions… if we ever get to do conventions again…
