Picking up strawberries for the dessert we’re serving after the wedding later today.
Just driving out to the road-side stand and smiling at two pretty, young women who were having a great time out in the lovely sunny day and just happy as clams to sell me some beautiful berries. I’ve been having a terrific day and it should end pretty well, too.
Just curious: Are you wearing your kilt for the wedding?

My kids are back from their long vacation to the Philippines. I didn’t recognize them at first, they’ve grown up a bit during the past 2.5 months. Feels great to have them back, wife and I were getting tired of the childless life already.

The grocery app I use made me smile.
I’ve made little entries to make sure I remember to NOT buy particular things on impulse. For example, right now I have NO MEAT and NO PITA/NAAN because I already have a freezer full of them.
My wife asked me to buy her some tea, but I said I can’t add it to the list. She didn’t understand why, and I showed her the entry for NO TEA. I couldn’t add tea to the list until I removed that entry from my inventory.
I mean, obviously I could … but, if you dont get the joke, you shouldn’t even be here.

Max Raphael is back as the narrator for Modern Marvels. Adam Richman is well educated in food history, but seeing him on screen taking part in the episode felt out of place, especially when it didn’t involve food.
Weren’t some/all of the Modern Marvels episodes repackaged from other content?
My kids are no longer jet-lagged. Took about two weeks and help from their cousins who kept them awake during the day after the first week. Now they sleep at correct times and even my youngest is sleeping through the night without waking up.
Got my ac fixed and I don’t need a new unit. I’m sure it’s pricey (no bill yet) but it needed 4# of freon and the leak fixed so of course it is. But that’s one thing off my list. Off to do yardwork. Or nap. Probably nap.

Damn, @e4tmyl33t you beat me to it! Welp, here’s a thread on the cast and their classes instead.
Telescope mount is now fully computer controlled after the manual polar alignment routine. Slewing (goto) accuracy is under 30 arc-seconds, and guiding is a consistent 2 arc-seconds or better. (If that means nothing to you, don’t worry. Astro has a whole language all of it’s own.)
Just need to get my arse out to a dark sky site on a clear night and put this thing through it’s paces.

Speaking of the new D&D movie?
Not so much happy, but this made me laugh.
This is a story from 2019, but I’ve only just seen it, so it qualifies as new for me.
Basically, a religious fundamentalist built an ark to prove the bible story, but it did the exact opposite.
The story is about the proprietors suing their insurance because they wouldn’t pay out for the ark being damaged.
By a flood.
