Moderators do that. The power-trip is the only think keeping mods sane when they have to do all the dirty work. I’m a super-mod at a forum with 70k users. I still think I’m at least somewhat sane.
I don’t know if I could handle that many users. I’m happy being a big(ish) fish in a little pond. I really like the community here and on CoG. There’s really very little moderating that I need to do. I haven’t even seen a spammer show up on this board yet, so I don’t even have to do anything there. That will probably change once CoG officially migrates, but if I don’t have someone to ban or zot once in a while, I feel kind of useless.
Just pick someone at random. That’s what I’ve always done.
