Ewww. You do it.
That made me think of something that happened back when I was in college.
One evening, my roommate, suddenly says in a small voice, âCrunch. It went âcrunchâ.â
âWhat did?â I asked.
âThe mouse.â
I was living in a hole of a co-op at Berkeley, and Iâd brought my cat with me. Our beds were thin mattresses on the floor. Earlier that day, my cat suddenly pounced on my bed, and ran to the middle of the floor to devour the mouse heâd just caught.
And that triggers paraphrased Pythonesque thoughtsâŚ
âCrunchy, real, dead, chocolate-covered, orange-flavoredâŚmouse.â
Yummm!
I have yet to understand what makes anyone think combining those two would taste good.
Have you ever tasted it? Admittedly, the dark chocolate is better.
In other news, water declared wet.
Hey, easy there. Thatâs how I describe getting stood up on a date.
No eating me!
Obviously no one told you how things work around here.
Can I have some of your cheese?
The dark chocolate comment or the water one?
I find the same thing with chocolate and cherry, too.
Heretics, both of you! Especially you, Doc. ![]()
Look, I love chocolate of all sizes and most tastes. But the combination of citrus-fruits and chocolate are and always will be abominations. When I worked at a library with 50/50 women and men, I still ate more chocolate per day then the rest combined (we were only 10-12 persons, but still). I can tolerate mint, but only as After Eight.
Anyway. Abominations I say!
Ewww, chocolate with mint in it is just wrong, too. I also generally object to bastardizing chocolate with nuts and other miscellaneous hard things (Iâm looking at you, toffee) that disrupt the smooth texture experience. Caramel or nougat are acceptable.
Andes mints, however, arenât bad. But they are mint with a little chocolate added on, so itâs ok.
Ghirardelliâs dark chocolate and raspberry is the bomb.
Are they the ones that make the little squares with pieces of peppermint candy cane at Christmas time? Those are an exception, too⌠theyâre so good, and only around for a short time.
The water news flash.
Have you tried Ghirardelliâs Intense Dark/Cabernet Matinee? Youâd swear you were eating dark chocolate made with wine. Itâs sinful.
I like the Squares too, but some of the assortments seem to be seasonal. I wish they would put out a better dark chocolate assortment, as the one they have is very chocolate-only-centric.
Now âpumpkin spice dark chocolateâ, thatâs disgusting. (Yeah, Hersheyâs brought this flavor of Kisses out for Samhain - oh, wait, you people call it Halloween - obviously, someone in R&D is a soulless automaton made from defiled taste buds.)
No, itâs because once mid-September rolls around⌠http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O60H6odfiRw/TrM0o3LDTeI/AAAAAAAAERA/MxceYseHHvM/s400/pumpkin-spice-all-the-things-thumb.jpg
