I believe that the one on the top is called a ‘sploot’.
My gurlz. Just because I can.

The one on the left looks like my tortie girl.
That’s Widget. She’s a lynx point, and getting closer to 20 than 19 now.
Oh wow. Gizmo is almost 10 but compared to your widget she’s just a baby.
One of my cats is successfully disturbing the sleep of everyone in the house. Over two floors. Not to mention she yells at me all morning while I get ready.
Widget starts yowling at me first thing in the morning. She wants to eat, but she eats just a tiny amount, then an hour later she’s hungry again. I should be grateful that she still has an appetite at almost 20 years old, but it can get really annoying sometimes.
Cheeky is just a loud cat. She yells to get pet, she yells to get sink water, she yells when I sit on the toilet, when I brush my teeth, and when I take my shower. Then she yells when I pet her again when I put my socks on. And then for the rest of the day she’s pretty quiet.
Sounds like a cat. My cat Kaijyu was very vocal. He was siamese, though, and they are.
I noticed that Telute would go downstairs and sit with Mr. TM before he left in the morning and then wander around the first floor yelling until she realised I was upstairs. Then, if she didn’t go crash on the couch, she’d come up and curl up on the floor next to my desk for a while. I put a box down with a towel in it yesterday, and she’s been glued to my side while I’m working.
Ollie used to be very well trained in most regards - he would sleep at our feet so as not to annoy anyone, but these days he comes to snuggle into my solar plexus, which makes me hot so I don’t get a good sleep.
So we had to close the bedroom door. Which was fine for a couple of nights, until it wasn’t.
Then he started sitting at the door at stupid o’clock and screaming, so I’d get up. Pats? Cool, but then he’d lead me to the pantry. Oh you want food? Yeah but only 2 mouthfuls. Heat pad? Yeah but he’d jump off straight away. I’d get sick of it and go back to bed, and the screaming starts again.
In the end, what he wanted was for him to sit on a warm heat pad, and for me to sit on the couch next to him and tuck him in.
He does this most nights, and it’s very annoying, in a cute way.
During the day (most days) he comes into my home office at about 9:30 or so to yowl at me, and if I get up he leads me to the couch. Turns out he loved that one morning I had a short nap where he was able to lie on my chest and purr his little heart out, and now thinks I should be doing that every day. ![]()
Widget has been getting very vocal in her old age. She’s mostly deaf, so that’s part of it. She doesn’t get cuddled as much because she’s never been good at cleaning herself, and now she doesn’t bother at all. The only reason she’s not completely covered in mats is because I comb her (even though she hates it) and the other cats groom her a bit. This means that she doesn’t smell good.
She gets canned food 4-6 times a day, which makes the other cats jealous, but she doesn’t eat much at a time. She’ll be 20 in May.
And, by the way, it’s good to see you!
Thank you
I don’t get to post here all that often any more but I do try to log in once a week or so to see what’s up!
OH wow 20! I hope Abby lives that long, shes almost 11 now, and seems to be doing really well.
Shes finally eating wet food which she used to hate, but now she eats it to fast and throws up.
She wont drink out of her fountain, but will out of my metal 1L stein… shes weird.,
