Licenses belong to properties, not people. If you are in another property with a license, it will still work. If you come to my house, it will not work. And I’m perfectly fine with that because, honestly, there is zilch on the ogglebox that I have any care for at all.
Not watching telly any more due to the amount of chicken and bull droppings that is shown on a regular basis.
I do, however, watch series or movies on my laptop at home, which the ooklets and Frau Ook do as well. Much betterer than telly, you can pause, air your opinion, go for a piddle or whatever.
I hear ya, sooo totally been there. On the bright side, in the last month or so, I’ve had to start fastening my belt one notch smaller! I’m down 15 pounds (-ish, maybe a little more) from my peak weight. Last week, my scale read under 180 for the first time in a long time. This is uncharted territory for me - I spent years trying to get over 135, and actually dropped down to around 105 when I was going through my divorce about 15 years ago. I’m 5’10", so that was an extremely unhealthy weight. I’d say I’ve bounced back
Um. if I were James Bond, and I didn’t get out of the laser beam death device, one piece would be under 180. Now, I’m 6’4", so 180 would be close to an unhealthy weight. But 250 would be nice. Or even 280, I was down to that this time last year, but not exactly in a healthy way.
Hmm… I’m what, 6’0, so that’s 183cm. And I’m about 15stone, which is about 95kg or 210lbs.
Apparently this is a “healthy weight” according to the BMI charts on the NHS. I call bull because I have a belly I can balance a pint on if I’m sitting in a lounger.
I’m also 6’0, when I was in my early 20’s I weighed around 105Kg (230lb) and I didn’t have an ounce of fat on me. Yet according to the BMI rating I was obese. Back in those days I was playing sport 5 or 6 days a week and I was incredibly fit and healthy - but not according the the BMI.
BMI is a blunt instrument of junk science that should never have been used, and should still not be used.
I read a report more than a few years back concentrating on some Inuit subjects. They appear well padded to the rest if us, but the subjects (one male, one female, if I remember) had low resting pulse, low blood pressure, low cholesterol, normal blood sugar.
