If the county has a “no unnecessary travel” advisory out, should businesses located in that county that don’t provide essential services be open?
Good question!!!
We had a relatively large snowstorm in New England yesterday.
The Governor declared a travel ban and stated non-essential workers should stay home.
My son wisely decided to stay home from his pizza delivery job.
His boss called and ripped him a new one!
I overheard my son say "I’m sorry but I don’t want to risk my life or my vehicle by delivering pizza’s in a blizzard.
I don’t believe this is considered an Essential position"

I can’t believe they sold too many pizza’s yesterday.
Who would order pizza during a storm? (Don’t answer that… I know too well who!)

They started naming significant snowstorms a few years back, who knows why.
They’re not official names from the NWS or NOAA - they’re made up by the media, last I checked.

Wendy’s might be good for getting food fast, but seeing that my $1.69 drink was about 70% ice means that in order to have received the full 20 ounces, I would have to effectively pay movie theater prices. Them, I don’t begrudge the higher cost of food because I know the games movie studios play. Things like “we get 90% of your ticket sales for the first two weeks”, etc.
I think I’m going to stock the cooler I keep in my truck with a few more items until i get back in the habit of packing a lunch again.
Just tell them no ice. I refuse to pay that much for ice, and I drink it faster than it warms. So no ice for me!

That’s the easiest way. Also, I feel like very few places locally don’t have self-serve soda machines. Those that don’t often do free refills if you ask, anyway.
We budget for the tub’o’soda when we go to the theater. usually me and $wife share one, actually, as it’s silly to buy two for us.
Which I do every time I trundle into McDonalds or KFC… I ask for a cooldrink sans ice.
They put in a lot of ice, so you get out a 1/2 cup of cooldrink, but pay for a full cup…
Was at a Burger King two or three times. I can only drink one medium-sized cup of cooldrink.
Don’t know how people are able to guzzle down a couple of cups AND eat a biggenburger as well…
I usually have two or three drinks with lunch.
I drink a 44oz soda in the morning, then refill it with water and drink that.Then I’ll have another soda with lunch. Then more in the afternoon, and some with dinner.
And that’s why I bought a soda stream and am trying to develop a taste for carbonated water straight.
SHE: I wanted to write something on the grocery list, but I can’t remember what it was.
ME: Was it cheese?
SHE: No.
ME: Was it bacon?
SHE: No.
ME: Then, I can’t help you.

So due to a recent desk move, I’m basically using a spare mini-desktop PC as a glorified USB charging station.
So, stuck at a half amp? Or does it have USB3?
It’s enough to keep my iPad happy. Due to Circumstances I don’t have a second drop right now, so I’ve got a desktop secondary I barely used anyway… I kind of wish I could Hackintosh it, actually, but that way madness lies.
Also probably getting fired.
