May be measuring in Saturn years.
Why would you put a coolant pipe on a car, then put the hose clamp up in such a way that you canât reach it with a screwdriver, and have to use a small spanner?
And why would you remove the coolant pipes going to the throttle body (fuel injected Corolla) without informing me? I only found out recently that a lot of pipes was not on their normal positions.
I hope ya get the car from hell and a Karen to mess with ya.
Almost a year ago on Feb 28th the docs at the hospital stopped my heart.
So in a manner of speaking⌠I was reborn on that day. Hence, second birthday!
So if Foo Fighters is nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year, and they often play tributes for big rock bands at the induction ceremony, who will play their tribute? Maybe they can get some of the remaining members of Nirvana toâŚwait, that doesnât work.
Also, how crazy is it that âthe drummer from Nirvanaâ will be inducted into the HoF with a second band which is still touring?
So basically just Krist Novoselic on stage playing bass? ![]()
How crazy would it be if they prioritized Rock or maybe Rock and itâs pregenitors? Tina Turner is still not in. Weird Al isnât in, but these random hip hop and rap groups make it.
Sheâs nominated this year.
For the third time. But, its their museum and their thing.
Its a crime the Weird Al isnt in the hall of fame.
Lild fresh whole orange juice is 99p. Asda (Walâ˘Mart) whole orange juice is ÂŁ1.49, a whole 50p more. Both claim to not be from concentrate and not contain any padding.
Lidl juice tastes like oranges. Itâs fresh, burns your mouth a bit, has nice little pulpy bits in, and does that other thing OJ is known for if you drink a whole bottle in a short time.
Asdaâs juice, on the other hand, tastes like sand. No, thatâs not fair on sand. It tastes like Sunny Delight watered down by a malevolent grandmother to make one bottle stretch for a whole party of kids. If you leave it in the bottom of a glass instead of dried pulpy bits you get a very uniform layer of silt.
How is it possible to get oranges wrong? :
There are juices which I will drink, and then there are which I will turn my nose up at.
If it taste blecchy, then why do I have to waste my money on that?1
Sounds like that one is from concentrate, even though it says itâs not.
We got this email this morning.
Hi all,
Just a heads upâ Today $Manager contacted us to ask about the order that he has for a new hire of a Pro Mobile Workstation P53. A ticket to your group hasnât been created yet, but it will, and the client has a couple of inquiries about it. He already has the information about the delivery, but he also is requesting that in case that the computer cannot arrive by February 22nd, the new hire gets a loaner delivered to their house while waiting for the permanent asset. He wonders if that can be done.
Thank you for all the help.
Our head asset manager sent out the following response.
This order was placed on the 12th. P53âs usually have a lead time of over a month and that was before the pandemic. Per $Vendor next P53 units wonât come till late March. If we were to provide a loaner it would not be a P53.
Doh! Should have planned better.
Wow. That sounds way too familiar. No ticket, no computer.
Got dragged into a call this afternoon thats as basically this but for a streaming webcast thingy for a couple thousand people that may or may not be working but they didnât invite me to the follow-up test session!
Yep. Since Iâm in charge of hardware at our site now thatâs definitely the case. And since someone above me on the food chain said it first, my ass is covered.
I really donât get this fetish for custom webcast software. My sisterâs university has one, and the (different) university my Dad does work for uses an entirely different one.
Neither work. Most of the time they use Skype since itâs installed on the university computers as part of The Operating System We Do Not Name.
This was a situation where Skype would have crumbled I think. Something like multiple thousands of viewers and probably a dozen presenters plus some âgoodiesâ like breakout rooms, surveys, attendance, etc.
Honestly, Twitch could do a lot of what they need. Itâs interesting how the gamer solutions are often âgood enoughâ as long as security isnât your top priority, but they have a history dealing with complex NAT setups and similar issues better than corporate-facing companies:
Thereâs a few companies that I think have pivoted to basically providing the âvirtual conferenceâ setup and itâs definitely its own thing even as it annoys me.
Also, if youâre streaming to a couple thousand people please plug in to Ethernet not use wireless.
Why am I not using Lightroom to catalogue my photos??? (Attending an all-day virtual photography conference today and this is one of the most valuable takeaways.)
I also donât use the cataloging feature as well as I could be using it, and I use Lightroom for 99.9% of my editing needs already. I havenât touched Photoshop in over a year.
