Yes, Whitney, we almost had it all. Please stop asking.
I worry about people who canāt tell the difference between a chicken and a quail.
What do they think Turkeys and Ducks are?
BTW, just ordered my first local raised Turkey for this year.
Who knows? All I know is that someone commented about how cute my chicken was on one of my YT shorts.
The channel is growing, so I have hopes of actually being able to monetize someday.
A journey starts with a single step.
Friday the 13th? Pffftt⦠Itās Monday the 13th - an order of magnitude worse.
Oh, right. The US celebrates Thanksgiving Day as well.
I keep seeing ads from Temu with a lot of varied items at low costs. I donāt need to buy any of it, but theyāre interesting and I can use the clothing and jewelry as ideas for what characters could wear in my stories.
The one thing I probably should follow up on is when they show the exact same person and pose for a dress in the different colors, so I think theyāre doing hue shifting or color substitution in the graphics program. Iāve never been any good at either one. I usually have to resort to doing flood fills on simple graphics.
I have never seen one ad from this Temu company. I think Iām doing something right.
I mean, I donāt see any ads to begin with, so this is just confirmation.
So far, the closest to this face-off is DeVitoās commercial featuring his character from the Illumination animated movie Migration thatās premiering in two weeks. This video has two trailers for the movie plus the commercial. As shown by the thumbnail, the duck is more than a little persistent.
Temu is evil, they are drop ship, as well as selling your data actively. They have an anti-trust lawsuit against them at the moment if i remember correctly.
I donāt think Iāll have any problem with not ordering anything from Temu. They added some kind of weird security captcha popup if you click on an item to look at it, so any incentive I might have had to buy from them had gone from miniscule to nonexistent.
I think several of the t-shirt stores, even reputable ones, do āvirtual product photos.ā Itās also something big IKEA went into years ago if I remember an article from forever ago.
Temp has developed a reputation for being very liberal with IP rights. A YouTube channel I watch got a set of ārareā early Magic: The Gathering cards what would have been worth hundreds or thousands if legit, but Temu is selling unlicensed knockoffs. Same with some toys like Transformers I hear.
Another YouTube I follow ordered a bunch of miscellaneous hobby supplies (for miniatures assembly and painting) and it was a mixed bag but mostly poor. Lots of slightly deceptive listings and stuff that works,. Briefly.
āDonāt expect a $10 pack of 20 paintbrushes to be high quality.ā Is one example.
Lots of stuff was slightly different from described/pictured as well. They ordered an airbrush (again so cheap as to be suspicious) and got one,⦠but differently styled from the one they expected.
Phil Collins writes better breakup songs than Taylor Swift. He does angry better, and he does sad better.
He is (or was, his health now is not good) also a way better drummer.
Is testing yourself to see how many days it takes before you slip up and write the previous year still a thing? Or did that go away as we started typing more than hand-writing?
Iām STILL writing 1923 on all my cheques.
Considering my insurance background my issue was always jumping forward a year in October.
Iām beginning to think that the only way OneDrive works reliably is if it has a constant network connection and can continually sync. If you have a laptop that you donāt often need to connect it to the internet (used for field work with reference documentation more than anything else), it just canāt cope when thereās a couple hundred files it needs to retrieve.
Itās like a car that can go 0 to 60 in 4 seconds, and the further you drive, the slower it goes until youāre doing about 5 mph. If you shut off the engine (quit OneDrive) and start it back up, you get that 4 second 0 to 60 again, followed by another gradual slowdown.
