My mom loved him.

I didn’t know he was still alive.

Did you know that the television series MAS*H ran for much longer than the actual Korean war did?

But only a third as long as the war it was really about. MASH was a great TV show about Vietnam. Korea was an entirely different thing than what MASH was.

When the cast were on Inside the Actors Studio, Alan Alda was asked if he thought it was about the Vietnam war. He answered, “I thought it was about all wars.” Larry Gelbart, the show creator, was there and he agreed with Alda.

Sort of fair. I seriously doubt if it would work during most conflicts though. It’s not like the French didn’t want people to kick the Germans out. I think it’s specifically applicable to civil wars with foreign involvement.

One of the main lines that come up in these shows is “why are/were we here?” and in many cases that’s answerable. I could see this about a French medical unit working with German mercenaries during the US revolution…

Died in a small plane crash. He scored a ton of major movies, including Titanic, Troy, ST: Wrath of Khan, Avatar, and Braveheart to name but a few.

Stuck in the Middle With You has whole new associations for me because of his role in Reservoir Dogs.

Ozzy Osbourne, 76.

They haven’t said what he died of, but he had a number of illnesses recently, including Parkinsons. He had a farewell concert 3 weeks ago and basically came out in a wheelchair.

He was hanging on just for that concert, probably what kept him going the last 6 months.

I read somewhere that he came off most of his meds ti do that concert. He was so drugged up on the regular he didnt thinknhe could do it that way. He was also strapped into that throne ao he wouldnt jerk out of it.

I think we missed Anne Burrell last month.

Alcohol, Benadryl, Zyrtec, and amphetamine which, all told, seems an unlikely combination.
