Things that suck

I was trying to set myself up with something like that but with Beat Saber since I just picked up a VR headset…then I went and tweaked my neck again and I haven’t wanted to move that much in almost 2 weeks.

If it’s something that helps you to enjoy doing something that you love to do, then I feel it’s time well spent. I can spend hours drooling over camera gear/accessories. But that also involves a lot of research on my end to figure out if that potential new shiny object is actually worth it to me.

Funny thing, my second kid being born was the reason I lost weight initially and it was purely through dieting. Gonna try it again starting this month, just cut back on how much I eat. It won’t be deprivation as that has never worked on me, but rather cutting back on one thing to make more room for another (such as, if I’m feeling like I want more snacks, I’ll eat a light lunch or dinner. More dessert? Less snacks then).

Yeah, it’s tough finding a routing that’s worthwhile and works for you.

I love Beat Saber. It’s been way too hot for me to break out the VR headset, though. I want to live in a house again so bad. It’s been two and a half months since I’ve slept in a bed.

Just Dance is my cardio of choice. When I get good enough on a song I can really get my heart rate up by adding in the lower body movements.

Believe me. Between ducting, PVC, flex hose, firm flex, and 2.5, 4, and 1.25 inch sizes there is enough to study. Plus run lengths and shapes and shop vac on the tool vs. dust collector on the other side of the room and all this other crap it’s required way too much poking around.

Need to brush up on sketch up.

Waiting for the bureaucracy to happen.

My wife has been at the house for 2 weeks. We had the NG taken out immediately so we can have everything on angry pixie power to capitalize on our eventual solar installation. That means no boiler for heat (not that important at the moment) and no hot water.
We can’t put in new circuits for the boiler and water heater because the 100 amp panel is completely full. We need to get a new 200 amp service and have the panel completely redone. That isn’t a problem. We have a guy. The problem is waiting for the permit.
So, my wife has been staying with my mom and now my sister until we can get that done. She can live with no heat, but no shower in the morning? That’s barbarism.

Read an article that talked about NASA never having had a full rehearsal on this launch. The last one only went as far as it did because the overrode the system to ignore an error directly related to this failure.

If this was a private venture it would be career ending.

Stress-induced rashes. If it wasn’t for ointments (which I need to get more of), I’d have permanent marks on my skin at various places. I don’t get rashes as much as I used to, but it still annoys me when it happens.

Returned to work from being super super sick(not covid) and am still sick, and the one coworker i cant stand filled my cube with trash. guy is a dick, im still sick, why are you doing that man.

Waiting 11 hours in the emergency room to get stitches. Unfortunately, that’s the state of medical care where I’ve moved to now. You’ll never find a family doctor. The hospital is a cavalcade of misery. Pharmacists are being given more powers because they’re the only medical professionals in any numbers. I’m waiting for vets to be given more leeway with person care.
I was actually pretty lucky. I heard from my mother that her neighbour waited 16 hours to get a broken wrist set. She wasn’t allowed to eat or drink during that time, and couldn’t leave the waiting room. She’s in her 80’s. This was during the height of COVID fright, so she wasn’t allowed to have anyone with her, either. Brutal.

Yoh, and I thought that our state (public) hospitals was bad…

I was more than a little surprised that a registered nurse or nurse practitioner wasn’t able to handle it.

The worse conditions, pay, and liabilities are for doctors in the public sphere the fewer there will be. In the US there are tons of specialty doctors and a shortage of regular family doctors. Especially as a push is being made for wellness care the availability is going down.

But that long for stitches is pretty crazy. Especially since a nurse likely did it anyway.

Nope. It was a doctor. He was responsible for doing everything, and he was the only doctor in the whole building that day.

Sorry, that came out wrong. I meant a nurse should have done it. But I know a lot of places have a nursing shortage
