Things that suck

What’s the official rating for the air quality? Just curious to see how it compares to the smoke from the 850,000 fireworks fired off in Washington DC on the 4th in an attempt to beat a world record. Weather conditions that night coupled with too many fireworks going off in too small of an area equaled an air quality health hazard.

To top it all off, because there was so much smoke, all you could see of the fireworks was a bright blob of light for a few seconds.

Better yet, the attempt to set a world record failed even before it began because Las Vegas already did it sometime before, but they did it right and spread out the launch points.

Ugh. I don’t want to think about smoke right now. The Klamath Basin is filling up with smoke from a fire that isn’t very close, but because it’s a valley, all of the smoke blows in and just stays. I may have to actually close all of the windows and run AC tonight instead of letting the night air cool the house down.

I understand.

No wonder my eyes are itching and I can’t stop sneezing.
