Someone important was apparently of the opinion that anyone who was on leave was by definition “not mission-critical,” but mission-critical or not, I would still have to be on active duty to use my leave. Also, I’ve had the leave scheduled for four months. Also also, they’re stupid.
Anyway, we’ll see what Monday brings. I don’t plan to be sober, so somebody else will have to drive me.

Our server wasn’t down all day yesterday, and my particular working folder was not still offline today.
I did not have to rebuild 12 quotes from scratch, I did not have to work 12 hours today. I came home and everyone was happy and satisfied with life.
I did not receive 12 new tickets in my queue between 16:00 yesterday and 9:30 this morning. My users are not hella needy. My boss is not climbing my ass wondering why I have so many tickets. I have more than one co-worker (who is getting his own tickets assigned to him) to help out in this region. I do not want to detonate a tactical nuke downtown at the intersection of 2nd Ave and C Street and put all the users out of my misery.

You have nothing to do (we’re very slow at the moment) so I gave you a hard drive cleanup task. It’s very simple. Install WinDirStat and find up what’s taking up space. In the time I have spent explaining this to you, I could’ve done this same job 3 times. And you still haven’t installed WinDirStat. Instead you’re pulling up IIS logs and asking me if that’s taking up the space. Never mind the fact that you could do a properties on the folder and SEE it only takes up 2 MB of space. I doubt deleting that will clear up the error messages.
