@PadrinoFive7: Not in PA there aren’t. PA labor laws are pretty much nonexistant when it comes to things like PTO, vacation time, etc, insofar as they basically just say “Whatever’s in the employment contract”
Did you REALLY just ask… “Can you get phishing on a Mac?”
Really?
Just answer no. Unless it is someone you care about.
Dear SCCM admins. I realized you configured everything to be a silent install so that our notoriously un-savvy luser base doesn’t freak out and call the help desk when something is installing or just cancel it altogether. However from my standpoint it’s a muy grande pain in the arse to have to keep pressing F5 in the Run Advertised Programs window to see if the damn software got installed correctly or not.
Dear $Boss,
If I ask for a 5 minute run-down on the team’s organisational structure, I do not want to receive a 30 minute torrent of verbal feces about where we are going and how we all have to “step up to the next level”.
Nor do I appreciate you dismissing your predecessor’s work as an “unmanageable pile of 5hit that I have to clean up”. The manager before you was a hundred times better than you.

Well, that little exchange was just a perfect demonstration of why we can’t do anything interesting or innovative around here that will engender intra-department communication.
OK which one of you wisenheimers removed the hard drive from this machine? I came here to swap machines but I was going to swap your hard drive into the new one because they’re the same model and it’s easier that way. Now maybe you didn’t know this and were concerned about losing data. That’s what the gorram H: drive is for. Now you still have a computer down and it won’t be back up until I find out where the hard drive is. You put out burning buildings, I’ll fix the computers. Not the other way around. Deal?
tl;dr: Someone in the San Diego Fire Department thinks he’s a tech.
Or wants to hide his porn.

Put me back in the pen! The coyotes are coming!
So what you’re saying is that you’ve created a process that, in applying it to the main process, reduces efficiency at every level in order to track and determine whether or not the changes you are making to specific levels of the main process are more efficient? Where the hell does this make sense?
Yes, I see that you’ve marked your email as “high priority”. You mark ALL your emails to EVERYONE “high priority”. What you fail to realize is that just because it’s a “high priority” to you doesn’t automatically grant it any importance to me whatsoever. Now fuck off.

[/quote]It’s an old saying, but still true. If everything is high priority then nothing is high priority.
Well aren’t you special? You overreacted to my screwup, threw your weight around and got me fired. I hope you’re happy. Merry fucking Christmas asshole.
{{F10}} What a lousy thing to have happen, and right before Christmas! Bah Humbug!

Yeah, I admit I screwed up, but the reaction was a bit excessive. My boss didn’t want t o let me go but his boss overruled him.
I have an interview tomorrow though. May need to go buy a hat so I can wave it.
Good luck with the interview. May this be one of those situations that’s a blessing in disguise where you end up with a much better job than the one you left.

Just a thought F10, but since they fired you, you CAN say that to them. In fact, I’d have said much the same to the asshole’s face.
Good luck with the interview. We’re all counting on you!
Okay… we all know the hell that is Adobe Reader, but why the hell do I have to install each patch of 9.5 to get to the latest version? That’s 5 freaking patches! Why can’t I just install the latest???
That really sucks, F10!! I hope the interview goes your way.
Well the joke is on him because they offered me the job this morning. And it’s a real job. With benefits and PTO after 3 months and 401k after a year. None of this contract bullshit.
