Yesterday was teh corporate charity golf outing. I didn’t play well at all, but I didn’t get so drunk I showed my ass, the sunburn is already fading, and it was for charity.
No, if only my right arm didn’t feel like it went through an antique washing machine, and maybe my right calf can stop cramping. And I did think I was going to die, it was over 90 and no breeze with 1000% humidity, normal Indiana August, but without the training up period of a normal July and June.
Basement has been fully cleaned and sorted, and toys will be going to live at some other sucker’s, I mean family’s, home. Yea! And I even had time to do my nails today!
It was my 25th anniversary on Tuesday, my wife and I are flying over to Melbourne tomorrow for the weekend.
This makes me happy today because I only have 7 more hours to work before I have a very long weekend
Getting home after visiting a friend in Klamath Falls. It was great to see her, Crater Lake was awesome, the family guinea pig dying was less so, but all in all, a good trip.
Switching a bunch of my accounts (including here) to use my Gmail account, rather than Yahoo.
I only use Messenger, really, and the Mail App, as well as the “desktop” site, are buggier than my mom’s refrigerator and slower than molasses on the moon.
I’ll use the Yahoo address as a throw away from now on.
Crater Lake is awesome. Summer is kind of a suggestion up there. You would like it.
It was about a week before my birthday (mid-June) when I was there (in 2004) and there was still snow on the ground. My cousin (who was 6 at the time) had never seen snow before, so I showed her how to make a snowball. Then I pointed and said “OK now throw it over there.” She instead turned around and pegged me in the chest with it. She at least had the good sense to run but I almost got her from across the clearing anyway.
I also got a slight sunburn from the sunlight reflecting off the snow, but since you live where it snows you’re probably aware that can happen.
I’ll be playing Pathfinder tonight in a Society event. I’m so anticipating it. Except I can’t see all that well still, but I’m still looking forward to it.
My Halfling Glaive weilding Cleric will work, I will it so. Especially after I can earn enough to switch from a war pony to a dog.
Shooting arrows all day in the spring sunshine, then coming home to a relax and a glass of wine. Followed by heading out to a friend’s place to watch movies and play pool.
Her new-to-us car is all safe and working now. Some additional (non-critical) things to do down the road, and the bill definitely did not please us, but now she can drive the kids around secure that real actual mechanics have looked at it, declared it “a pretty good find,” and fixed the things which were needful.
I thought the continuity was pretty good, and especially in the beginning I swear they recycled part of the script from an episode or two (maybe the pilot?).
