Glad he’s home. I’ve had some extremely minor digestive tract issues and they can be really weird. (In my case I had issues swallowing for a few weeks. It’s really annoying lying in bed trying to sleep but you can’t swallow for some reason.)
The good thing is, since I’m the one who does all the cooking, I can steer what we eat for meals. And I glared mightily at him over the chips, so I don’t think that’ll be happening again.

I successfully treated a hen for vent prolapse. It looked terrible, but she’s fine this morning.

I briefly touched on this in the Discord chat group.
Basically we’re making plans to get out of the city and move to the countryside.
This means that I will not be working at $company any more (early retirement).
We’re planning to do chicken+sheep+cow farming just to start off with, in order to generate an income.
Also I’ll look at the possibility of doing IT support (although I don’t want to) should we need an extra income.
Still talking and planning and dreaming at this stage.

I’m working a temp assignment for a week doing deployments. It felt good to put on makeup and normal clothes for once.

Just because of this I went out and bought ketchup chips.
It’s been several decades. I’ll let you know.
What made me happy today is asking for (and getting) the next 4 weeks off. I’m a bit off my game lately and need to settle my mind a bit. My team understands that and are willing to help.

I had accidentally purchased an over the range microwave instead of a countertop version (to put in a cupboard) and when I returned said $400 microwave I was refunded $700. Because somehow all the prices on the other items I purchased had changed so best buy refunded me the difference on those as well.

Another offer in the other hoise, so we might close on June 10th I’m one and July 10th on the other.
OTOH, my wife is so drunk I had to drag her in the House and she’s been in the tub playing with the drain with the water on for half an hour.she keeps making me plug the drain and then opening was again. She doesn’t drink often, she’s at about an 8 out of 10.

In case it wasn’t obvious, I might have been a bit intoxicated as well. I think the highlight of the evening is when my wife and my neighbor were arguing about who could kill who faster, him the former Marin Green Belt HTH instructor, or her the 2nd Degree Brown Belt in Judo.

Got to teach warrant officer candidates the basics of mission command and CEMA today.
A year ago, I was in their seats, getting mediocre instruction in mission command and CEMA (among other things).
I like to think I was a better instructor than what I endured.
I’ve missed teaching.
