Did a couple documents for handover. Still have two systems to go - the main file and print server, and then the email+vpn server for our four sites.
Then, once that is done, need to go through the server room with my manager, showing him what goes where, what does what and so on, it will be easier with the documentation at hand.
Happy that the end of the tunnel is in sight.

Discovered thereās an āomg I fucked everything up during this sessionā button in the tech software for the currently open job. It resets it to how you found it. I have literally gone from being a little apprehensive to not being worried at all about going live on the phones!

I was, and I passed my test and everything (no more pink license card for me, now I have a shiny blue one!) but as soon as I headed to an agency I found that most employers despite screaming for new drivers, want those drivers to have between two and five years experience before theyāll even answer the application.
So thatās Ā£1100 down the drain. On the upshot, I make that per month now!

I went for a walk around my neighbourhood to catch some pokemon today. My cat Scraps followed me for quite a ways, rubbing against my legs every time I stopped to catch one. When I left his territory, he looked very anxious, and when I came back, he ran to meet me.

MST3K reruns will start on Comet TV on September 4th. Thatās not long after Stargate SG-1 will end its run, and it looks like Dead Like Me will take its place except for when MST3K is on.

Iām not even aware of this channel.
Shout Factory has a limited selection of MST3k episodes (maybe 20-30?) up for streaming at various times. They rotate through, I think.
Did a bit of overtime recently.
Asked the work if I can take a day or so off in lieu of payment, they have no issues with that. Going to take the ooklets out to a restaurant. Over weekends it is not so nice as thereās lots of people, during the week it is not so hectic.
Reason : celebrate Ooksonās birthday, and also my new job.

I was in a rush this morning, so I just unplugged my NUC from my home office and threw it in my bag. Once I got to the office and plugged it in it still remembered where I was like it was just in sleep mode.
Itās the little things.
And on the dark side. The guy who has been making my job unfun for years had his house he was building struck by lightning. 11,000 square feet of ash now. 4 alarm fire and they worked on the basement for 5 hours.
I wouldnāt wish that on anyone, but my first thought was still āKarma is a bitchā

Yeah, wishing and relishing are different levels.
We had an @ss at the paint company who verbalized, repeatedly, that he was trying to make things harder for certain people - Doc being among them.
(He did it loudly enough that the Sales Manager for the city heard him across two offices. I got unexpected help from that quarter after that.)
He came down with a bone cancer. Iām told thatās a horrible, painful way to go.
And yes, my first thought was: āCouldnāt happen to a nicer guy.ā
Iām getting less stress here, and as a result, my blood pressure is coming down. Happy days.
Still need to take BP meds, but I hope to be off said meds soon. Maybe in two monthsā time.

Ok, so it is almost 7:30 pm and Iām still at the office, BUT Iām off tomorrow, so Iām happy that Iām sitting on a four day weekend!! Hopefully, I will get off my butt and do some cleaning/organizing. The garage is a wreck, and I have computer parts and misc stashed in way too many places around the house (in addition to what is in the garage). I will try to remember to take before pics. Key is donāt get stuck in a loop binge watching something on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Sandbag bathroom is finished. Need to put the roof up.
