That does look nice. I could use something like that.
And toenailing still leaves you a bit rocky, not to mention I usually just hammer my knuckles on the other board, or my thumb. If I use the right depth and the right screw I have to get serious to pull a join apart.
Iām looking at all kinds of stuff I can do now.
Meet Scrappy! My wifeās kids decided that I needed a new dog, because my boys passed away in July and August, so they found this little guy. He is probably a Yorkie mix, about a year old. He was rescued a few months ago (I donāt know from what kind of situation) but the folks that rescued him were moving out of state and apparently couldnāt take him, so I got him on the 22nd. Heās great! 6 pounds of energy and joyā¦
This was on Wednesday, after he got a fresh haircut. Heās just adorable.
Heās cute!
Thanks, @Nabiki !
Awesome. I hope you have many happy years together.
ETA: and heās very shiny.
Thanks CWX, heās a happy little guy, for sure!
I hope Scrappy isnāt as annoying as his cartoon namesake.
Just made an appointment to take my new murder hobo beard and sculpt it into a manly beard of styled manliness.
And a head shave and stache trim, because Iām all that and a bag of fuggin chips.
You really should get some salsa to go with those chips.
Shiny Carbon Fibre awesomeness for my motorcycle. One year of waiting for it to be made, AU$2k and two weeks watching the shipping company fly it from the UK to AU via France, Germany, Kentucky, California, Hawaii, Sydney, Hawaii, California, Kentucky, California and Sydney before delivering it to my door.
Sounds about right. Was it DHL by any chance?
Did they really ship it all that way, or was that computer glitchiness?
I dunno, Iāve seen some really whacked routing on DHL packages. I prefer not to use them at all, but HP seems to use them exclusively. One or two packages from Amazon have gone DHL (rhymes with gone to hell), and theyāve arrived later than estimated.
I despise DHL, in case anyone was confused about that.
Iām also not a fan of DHL. The awful service was not much of a surprise after I found out how awful they treated their āemployeesā, many of whom were getting screwed by being called independent contractors.
The Snap CIrcuits uber pack, $119 on Amazon right now. This will be a birthday present for my firstborn and me, but I am totally going to play with it before hand because Dads get to do that and I bought it with my foreign language pay.
Weāre also getting Robot Turtles, which all of us should be able to play.
That Lights set looks like fun.
My youngest has a snap set. Itās an on and off thing for her.
And is it me or is Robot Turtles Robo Rally for preschoolers?
My buddyās kid got a couple of the small project sets for his birthday a couple years back. They were pretty neat, but one of the kids trying them out had less patience & attention to detail, and got frustrated almost to the point of having a meltdown. āMaybe that toy is not for you; hereās a Tonka truck, go outside.ā
Iāve got some threaded rods on order. I keep thinking of the āinanimate carbon rodā from an old Simpsonās episode.
