What's Your New Shiny?

No. NO version of Dungeons and Dragons exists beyond Advanced. That’s before second edition.
Sorry. No. The judges will not accept your explanation.

Well, the only Succubus I know is from Kids in the Hall, so…

Do you mean Hecubus?

Per D&D Beyond:

They are indeed now neither demons nor devils, can be in service to either (or on their own), and there is now no distinct difference between succubi and incubi, as they can shapeshift into either form at will.

Nothing sucks like an Electrolux…

Got a Vitamix A2300. Now I can make my Nutella alternative.

I just bought 4kg of vanilla beans.
That hurt. It’s been a good year, though. I have the cash to spend. I’ll do it now before it disappears.
However, I’ll have 32 litres of product next fall.
Now, I just have to buy the booze, new bottles, and redesign all my labels. I’m switching from a Boston round 120ml bottle back to the flat square bottle I used the first few years. They’ve been like hen’s teeth to source, but I think I found someone on Alibaba who will ship them direct from the factory in China. I don’t need them for another 6 months, so ordering them now is probably best.

Now I’m trying to figure out if you’re invoking Vitamix as an attempt to keep the Succubus/Incubus/Hecubus/Electroluc run going ro just got a shiny new blender. Leaning to the latter.

LOL, definitely the latter. I’ve been wanting one of my own for years. Now I can make my own smoothies, veggie soups, and the earlier-mentioned Nutella alternative that’s a lot healthier.

That’s just silly. I’ll give you that 4E was crap but the rest are decent and 5E is actually pretty good.

I’m not listening. LALALALALALA

I just ordered 4 cases of these bottles. They’re the ones I used when I started selling vanilla over 10 years ago, but became really hard to find over time. I changed to the standard Boston round bottle about 6 years ago because the ones I liked were just not available.
I posted a picture on my Facebook page and immediately got positive responses. It’s funny how the shape of a bottle can make all the difference.

Square bottles seem to be more neater than round ones.

Almost everyone seems to have some deep-seated memory of seeing someone somewhere sometime pouring out a measure of vanilla from an oblong amber bottle like this.

Closing a deal with a local distiller to buy 10 litres of 95% alcohol. There is normally a lengthy and involved process of paperwork that has to be filed with the Canadian Revenue Agency for an Excise Tax Exemption and you have to put up basically a bond an have audits every other year and blah blah blah. I spoke to the person in charge and we have an understanding. They like what I do and want to help support me. I love their product because it is just the most amazing tasting alcohol. No, not tasting. It’s pretty flavourless. It’s in the mouth-feel. I talked to the person in charge last year and got 3 litres at $35/litre. That’s way better than the commercially available stuff which is around $55 for the same amount. This time, they don’t know why I was charged so much.
WhaaaaAAAAAT? You want to charge me less? Okay. I only need 6, but I’m buying 10 litres. I can always make more bitters with it.

Don’t you love preferential treatment, especially if it is to help you and your Mom 'n Pop business a little bit instead of Big Corp.

So, it’s a weird new shiny, but it’s all mine. I have a new son. He’s 20. I lost a daughter in the process, but his happiness is most important.

I told him the worst part about all of this is that I now have THREE boys going through puberty and I don’t think I’ll survive.:rofl:

I put this together yesterday. Troubleshooting what may be a hardware fault in a rotary encoder, but it went right together. Far easier build than the last kit radio transceiver I built. I booted it up and installed the software and updates and it seems to be working, but watching Alien with my kids took precedence over testing last night.

I don’t have a case for it yet, so it may get mounted in a cigar box for a while. Still to add: 3x footswitches (with LED circles around each), an expression pedal (for wah, volume, etc.), and a few more potentiometers to control other parameters. I have all of the things, but I figured I would start with the simply build first.

Congrats to him. It could be worse. Mrs. Force10 is living with a grown ass woman who is going through puberty.
