Not so funny meow, is it?
Was was it just now that I learned Beerfest is the same group.
Iām not sureā¦itās been a long time though. Private practitioners donāt usually, though weāve considered it. Shelters, however, have been doing it for years. I think itās great. Feral cats still need ear-tipped, but I prefer the tattoo for more tame creatures. I wish we all did it. Would eliminate needless shaving of bellies on strays, and those unfortunate exploratory surgeries hunting for reproductive organs, since just because they arenāt obvious doesnāt mean they donāt exist, especially on males that could theoretically have retained testiclesā¦
There is a great program near me that does this. And if you adopt a whole pod or whatever theyāll do it for $5 an animal, with bulk discounts on top of that for some other stuff. Feral cats are a serious problem in some areas, and one of the advantages of coyotes and foxes moving back into town. I donāt know if they eat them or anything, but they seem to out compete them.
Maybe I should approach the private practices and offer to do it. I am not getting any opportunities to use this equipment otherwise.
Warning: Extreme cuteness overload.
Hasufinās boy had to prove that heās a cat today.
The only other cat that I know who sleeps on bare surfaces is Kumoko, but she carries her pillow wherever she goes.
Are you saying sheās fat?
No, Iām saying she has more fur than cat. Her fur is so long and thick that if I poke a finger into it, my entire finger disappears.
Gizmo sleeps on my girlfriendās nightstand sometimes.
Warning: More extreme cuteness.
Lizard-shaped dog tug toy: $2.50
Two thick microfleece throw blankets: $30
Convincing your dog that her lizard toy likes to burrow under her security blankets to hide: priceless.
This is Boris. He also goes by the name of Malevolent Furbeast, or occasionally Stop That You Bastard. Heās a ten year old British Blue shorthair, and heās a mixture of grouch, grump, and greed.
In this photo he is pulling what we call his Innocent Face, where he has done something bad, and ran to another room, and tried to make it look like he was there all along. When this photo was taken, he had just thrown up his dinner. After this photo was taken, he immediately started asking for more dinner.
We love this bundle of fluff more than words can express. We also hate him. With love.
So⦠Heās Mormon?
Iād have gone with Irish Catholic, as portrayed in Father Ted.

TL,DR: Bear wanders into backyard where little girl is playing and gets a little close, dogs chase the bear away. Three of the dogs are rescues.
Iād like to make sure everyone is aware that August 15th is Clear the Shelters Day - animal shelters across the country are going to try to get as many shelter animals adopted, and many (if not all) are waiving adoption fees. Itās a great way to find your new BFF.
Just saw something from a Tennessee television station, a local Animal Control director is saying that the burns they are seeing on some puppies is probably from flea medications applied incorrectly. So, like, be careful.
Yeah, I see this quite a bit. And the only products I have ever seen it with are the OTC products at the stores. I have never seen a problem with the ones sold through the veterinary channels. Now, if you buy the āname-brandā stuff but not at the vetās office, there is a good chance itās fake, and therefore can cause problems. Pesticides are not something to mess around with - please get reputable products from reputable sources. Worst case I ever saw was a young man who brought his cat in less than 10 minutes after application. She was already dead. Again, PESTICIDES ARE NOTHING TO MESS AROUND WITH! /tirade
I bought the stuff that the vet at the SPCA recommended. And I got it from a vet supply company, via Amazon.
