This is the granddaddy to all RPG games.
If socks are made with a pattern that mirrors each other from one foot to the other and it’s necessary to weave an L into the left sock and an R into the right sock, does the L go on the inner/right side of the left sock or on the outer/left side? Likewise, does the R go on the inner/left side of right sock or on the outer/right side?
I match it by the big toe.
Inner side.
Outer side for me.
I learned a while back that aircraft are built using an egg shape for the fuselage because it’s a really strong design for a pressure vessel. Today I learned that applies to chicken eggs themselves.
I started to break one open and heard a hiss coming through the crack. I looked at the carton and see I was supposed to eat these before February. I did not have scrambled eggs I was looking forward to.
The answer to that is 42
It’s also about the perpetual growth mindset companies have adopted in the past couple decades.
I blame part of that on the pension plans and stock holder groups that sued companies for making good short term decisions that negatively affected stock prices in the short term, but did the company good in the long term. In the late 70’s I believe?
You can, operative word is can, be sued for making a decision that saves the company from bankruptcy in 10 years, but costs them a ton now. Might not win, but the payout might be so big to make it go away that it’s not worth the risk.
That’s a horrible precedent.
Saluting the ULEZ BladeRunners.
It was done to protect union pensions and “the little guy”, and as usual it has had a negative effect on things instead of positive. But that’s what happens when the government tries to fix shit with a sledgehammer.
Stock Brokers love it though. Adds to the boom and bust, and then you add in Keynesian bail outs and no one loses, well, no one they care about.
My fucking heroes man. Screw the man.
Resistance is not always futile. Three cheers to the ULEZ BladeRunners for keeping it up!

How often do you think of the Roman Empire is trending.
This is trending, and I would say I think about it several time a week. I’ve read a few books on Rome and Caesar, and as a Christian the empire is at least a supporting character in the Bible. I have also read quite a bit of historical, and fantastical, Roman fiction.
Roman roads, baths, aqueducts, language, interactions (Or, mostly wars) with Germany and Britain, ties to Arthurian legends, stupid fake memes about railroad sizes, clothing choices, sexuality, philosophy. The root of a lot of “modern” thinking. Scratch a philosophical theory and it doesn’t take long to find a Roman or a Greek.
Does the man with no name ride a horse with no name into the desert so he can remember his name?
Windows11, why you do this?
This is going to make me mental, and I can’t find a way to fix it.

The date is September 21, highlighted.
The date is listed at the top.
The current month is not highlighted.
The highlighted month is listed as October.
The page starts at the current week. There is no way that I can find to show the system calendar by month.
Nevermind. It’s because I have the scale setting at 150% and the screen isn’t big enough to be able to handle the full 6 week calendar setup so it does this weird thing. I reduced it to 125% (which I can live with) and it’s all good now.
