HBO Now has enough of a difference between it and the content available on Amazon Prime that I’m considering hanging onto the service after the current GoT season ends. Even if it’s pretty steep for a streaming service at $15 a month.
There’s nothing like waking up and thinking, “It’s 9 a.m.?” and then realzing, “Oh, that’s just the alarm clock momentarily displaying what radio station it’s tuned to before switching back to the actual time. I think I’ll just lie here for a few minutes to get my heart to stop racing because I’m not actually late for work.”
It’s really amazing the amount processing the human brain can do in about 2 seconds.
Does anyone ever see a big tent at their mall with what looks like Romani selling rugs?
We bought one a while back and can’t seem to catch them to get another one or two. We talked to them adn they generally follow spring and fall weather north and south, but they vary their route east and west. I’m wondering if this was the only family doing this or if anyone else has seen such a thing.
And by tent I mean pavilion and really nice rugs, by the hundreds.
They were in East Lansing almost every fall during move-in week, but I’m guessing the rugs were a little lower quality. I never bought one but I was always intrigued…
I bought one, and they are awesome. Just the color and style doesn’t match the new house.
Gears of War IV preview video, best preplanned cover ever.
My buddy was soooo excited about the first one that he bought a copy for me. There was something about the controls or perspective, I never got used to it, it just felt too awkward, so I never made it past the first 15-20 minutes. It just didn’t feel right, unlike Halo, which was immediately immersive. Probably because I spent so much time playing Dooms and Quakes back in the day.
Isn’t it a third person cover shooter? I haven’t played any of them.
Added video for reference. Dude’s dad plants a tree, marks it for reference, and like 15 years later the kid uses it for cover against the big bad. That’s planning man.
Is there really yet another DOOM out now?
The last one I played was DOOM ][, and I haven’t owned anything capable of playing the newer ones for…15 years?
Do I have some catching up to do?
Yeah, something like that. Now that you mention it, that may be what I didn’t care for in the one GTA I tried a while back.
Doom is set to be released on the 13th of this month.
Bethesda making a game that doesn’t include Yao Guai that fly away at a 30º angle when you shoot them? What madness is this?
Seriously though, this looks really good. I might pick it up when the price drops in Summer since I don’t have any games budget left this month
Woot - I took the Barack Obama IQ Test and got “You are smarter than Barack Obama!”!
Yeah - I think maybe a pinch of salt is needed here, given that Obama’s IQ is probably around 145 and I know that mine is a little lower than that.
Why do I suspect that a surprisingly large proportion of people taking that test end up smarter than Obama?
On the plus side, I don’t think Doom’s really worried too much about having a consistent canon… I feel like it’s been rebooted every few years, essentially.
Ah, reddit. The best place on the internet to answer a question in full, with all facts on your side, and get downvoted for no valid reason.
Reddit, not Yahoo Answers?
That’s still a thing?
We are entering an era where it’s easier to look up and create a GIF showing the emotion we feel than it is to actually show the emotion.
Hyperbole, but something there.
And screw those birds man. I used to have a feeder the bigger birds would bounce up and down to dump as much as possible out.
And finally, WTF Indiana, we get decent weather for a couple days and we get punished with tornadoes and 40 degree weather?
Yeah, well … you didn’t have to evacuate an entire city of 80,000 people because of wildfires. In May.
And fuck those birds.
