I think the tally was just shy of 3 dozen books, CDs and movies on DVD for about $65.
Beautiful day, drove the convertible with the top down, jamming to the Yoshida brothers, get a soda, it falls out of the cup holder and I catch it on the bounce, set it back down, park the car. Clean up the mess, and realize my darling daughter keeps safety pins in the cup holderā¦ the cup is empty and diet mountain dew is everywhere.
But it was still a good morning. And at least it was my free soda.

They were actually closed, since I found the non-safety pins last week when I was moving change out of it. Apparently they were sticking up in the pennies that were put back in there, which is part of the reason the cup fell out, since the already inadequate cup holders were shallower than normal.
These are the cup holders that are actually mentioned in multiple reviews of the vehicle as one of the worst parts, so I wasnāt surprised by the drink falling out, but was extremely surprised at the fact that the dang thing had a hole in the bottom. I think in my emergency clean up mode I impaled it on the safety pin as opposed to the first time I put my drink in there when I just set it on top of it.

Iāve been reading him since maybe a year after he started, and I kickstarted his coin thing and his RPG. Howard Taylor is a machine, and his prose isnāt bad either.
And then, on the other end of the spectrum you have Goblins and Order of the Stick.
I havenāt read Goblins, but Iām up to date on Order of the Stick. The updates are irregular, but not as bad as MegaTokyo, which I gave up on years ago.

The gold standard for comics I had to give up because they were damaging my psyche through their update schedule. Also, for whining of the artists when people complained about the updates. Great confusing storyline, good art, just updated so slowly that I couldnāt track it.
OOtS is at least going along at something like once a week now, as well as Goblins. Erfworld is up to twice a week thanks to Patreon.

TouchĆ©! Iām even about a month behind in XKCD, which is bad.
I mostly got out of webcomics due to my work schedule changing. I habitually read them on my home desktop, and as things changed I donāt always go to the basement where my desktop is in the AM.
Iād like to get caught up on some of them, I think.
I went to the pet store today to buy cat food and ended up walking out with the cat food plus a dozen or so free mystery fry (probably guppies). Being nice to the people behind the counter is good for more than just common courtesy, it seems.

My garden is weeded, the bushes are trimmed, and the strawberries are picked. Go away for six days at the beginning of the summer and come back to a hot mess! Bet I will have to do it all over again tomorrow or Wednesdayā¦ at least itās really nice out!

Iāve decided to deliberately start mis-pronouncing the prefix āgigaā for comedic effect.
My fiancĆ© has downloaded some video filesā¦ I saw the size of the file transfer and channeled some Doc and exclaimed āFour point twenty-one jiggabytes!ā
It amused me, so I shall continue.

We used to have a coworker that pronounced it that way - not a native English speaker. We did a little research and found out that that was originally the correct pronunciation of the giga- prefix. I donāt remember where along the way computer peopleās mangling of the pronunciation became the norm, but thatās not the first thing the tech world has done that toā¦ mouses, compact disc are the first two examples that come to mind.

I can find another immediate example of computer people getting it wrong in the exact same way: GIF.
Edit: also confused, because dictionary and Wikipedia both say that a soft G is acceptable and follows the Greek root, but traditional Greek does not use the soft G, only the hard one (bow chick-a bo-- sorry) so weāve come full circle in confusion. I suggest we entirely remove giga- and replace it with hamma-
